With an engaging address from Justice Elizabeth B. Lacy

When Justice Elizabeth B. Lacy was elected as the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court of Virginia in 1989, she already had blazed a few trails, serving as Virginia’s first female Deputy Attorney General and the first woman to serve on the Virginia State Corporation Commission. As evidenced by these firsts, Lacy has had an immense impact on the role of women in the legal profession and on the entire legal system of Virginia.
