Cancer is the toughest battle someone may ever have to face. There are countless issues that arise from the diagnosis and treatment of cancer – from being able to apply for insurance benefits to afford treatment...to understanding how to apply for funds to secure care for young children...to fighting to keep a job or house while you're unable to work.
LINC was founded to improve the lives of cancer patients and their families by helping with legal and financial issues, such as:

explain insurance benefits, and help with appeals for denial of coverages

secure public benefits including Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security Disability benefits; and locate community resources
|
|

|
manage debt and negotiate with creditors to ward off debt collections
|
|
•

arrange for the care and custody of children
|
|
•
|
prepare for the future through estate planning, powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives
|
We are the ONLY organization in Central Virginia providing these vital services. But LINC is only able to provide these critical services to those in need through the help of wonderful volunteers and the donations of those who care.
